LOL I shall blog again. :D But I'm leaving in 50mins for the airport, with my stuff NOT packed yet so yeah HAHAHAHA!!! So this shall be a short post. IF someone asks you this question, "Hey, what should I buy as a present for a 3 year old kid?" I don't know what your answer would be, but I know it most likely won't be a FREAKING DS. Because that's exactly what my parents are going to give their FRIEND'S 3 YEAR OLD KID. WHAT THE!!! AND IT'S NOT JUST ANY DS. It's the CRAZY DS WITH THE CRAZY CAMERA!!!!!!!! CRAZY I haven't even SEEN it properly. Excuse me lah what kind of extravagant present is that? Okay I mean if it's for like, even an 8 year old kid maybe I'll understand. BUT A 3 YEAR OLD?! WHAT ON EARTH. WHAT'S WRONG with the conventional teddy bears and soft toys? Or toy guns or little trains or whatever? 3 year old?!?!!? He has only seen 3 SPRINGS and now he gets a DS. I DON'T SEE MYSELF getting a DS at 3 year old. Ok fine whatever maybe at that time there wasn't a DS yet. But seriously, WHAT?! DOTS MAN. Yes, well aware that I haven't been posting for like a month or so LOL. And this is totally going to be a short post because I'm bored in a bus right now. Anyway that's it, exams' over. I thought I would feel pretty ecstatic, but it's not the case here, more like really fatigued and tired of everything. During the exams period I felt like doing everything but studying but now I don't feel like doing anything. The computer lost it's shine now that exams are over, and without exams for an excuse I'm forced back into my hectic schedule and all my responsibilties beset me once again. Sigh, apparently the notion of a paradisiacal life after exams is nothing but wishful thinking.

HAHA apparently in library now. Have lots of time to kill, really. (Kinda surprised blogger.com is allowed access there ;X) Now I just remembered three days before, Christine and I had an encounter with a really strange guy. We kind of walked past him, talking, heading for tuition (and are quite late, may I add), then he kind of called to us and we turned back, both thinking we dropped something HAHA. Then the guy approached us. He's in his mid-fifties (at least that's what he said) and he asked us, "Do you think it is right for a married couple to break up?" or something along those lines. We were kind of perplexed, thinking if it's a survey or something LOL, but then kind of dismissed the idea because the guy really was weird. And he asked questions in a very ambiguous way, breaking in between parts and repeating sections which all in all made him not very coherent. Then I just said, "It depends, if they had children I guess it wouldn't be quite fair-" in which he interrupted me half way and said with his finger in my face, "Now I didn't tell you to do anything. You have to think for yourself." and I was kind of thinking, 'I am thinking for myself', and then he asked me the same question again, albeit less eloquently, and I was like, "Well, as I said if they had children-" and he just broke me off halfway and told me to think for myself (AGAIN) and so, with the tiniest bit of exasperation I just gave up and said, "No, I don't think it's right." The next part is a little blurry in my memory, and I kind of read or heard or watched somewhere that our memories aren't 100% accurate and we may leave details out, or even fabricate details to make up for it, so I don't want to make stuff up and exaggerate, but that's beside the point, HAHA. Anyway I distinctly remember a part when he was like, "My mother abandoned me when I was 4, and I'm now 55." and we both got the message obscured: 'And look at me now. This is how damaging it can get.' Then he was like, "I'm a bastard." and then added, "Sorry for using that word, but I am a bastard." when he saw us look a tad uncomfortable (and disbelieving at our plight). And I was like, "Um, you're not really a bastard because that term only refers to children who were born before their parents were married." and then he said, with his finger in my face again, "Now, that's what you think." and I said, "No, that's what it says in the dictionary." At this he kind of laughed and then said, "Thank you for saying such a nice thing" (or something) and then shook my hand. LOL. Then he turned to Christine and asked her the same thing, and then Christine was like, "Yeah, I agree with her." and then he said something which I totally forgot, or made no sense of, and then he shook her hand. Indubitably an odd guy. Next the guy talked some more and said something like, "Promise me you will make wise decisions" or something, and we just went like, "I promise" since that's like the totally ideal answer. And then he pulled up his sleeve to show a black tattoo, and he said, "Everyone who slashes here -gestures at wrist- will all see the same colour." Red. And I kind of got it. Just don't know why he's so random. After that Christine decided to save us from our very uncomfortable situation and told him we were going to be late for tuition (which is not exactly true, cos the truth is we ALREADY were late for tuition since the 'talk' was like, at least 10 mins long) and then he let us go, and so we very relieved-ly walked away from him. And the part that made us question his sanity even more came after that, when he started shouting after us, saying stuff like, "I promise I won't let anyone touch you! I swear!" and some weird professions of love and stuff and we both looked at each other and had like okay-that-was-really-weird expressions on our faces. And then a middle-aged woman walked past and he was called her, and then the woman was like, "I don't even know him." and Christine was like, "Hurry walk away, I think he's a little insane." and then the woman went like omg-ish and quickly walked away HAHAHA. Well that was funny. Christine was totally freaked out by the ordeal, but I think it was pretty interesting. HAHA. Though albeit peculiar.

OKAY apparently I realised my blog became reallllllly dead. BUT OH NO I've just realised I'm sinking into the "Totally nothing to say during blog posts" phase and then I'll have to resort to publishing pointless posts about my mundane life and bore the heck out of everyone. I NEED INSPIRATION. ANYWAY I got my CA2 results back today... did more okay than I expected, but at the start of the term really screwed up a lot of tests and even though I did better after that, they kinda pulled me down. Geez. :\ And seriously first time in my life Chinese and English A1. I am AMAZED to say the least HAHAHA. But anyway this is called a fluke and even though I really hope for more flukes in my life it just doesn't work that way. OH WELLS. Start of Sept Hols now. Surprised they called it 'Holidays'. It should be renamed "MUGGING PERIOD UNDER GUISE OF HOLIDAY" cos that's what almost all the teachers told us to do. Mug. Like. Mad. In other words, NO break. No holiday, no going out no kbox no lunch out no dinner with friends no EVERYTHING. I will worship everything after EOYs are over. But then it'll just be a "TEEHEE EOY OVER BUT STILL HAVE TO MUG FOR O'S" period and BLAH, SERIOUSLY. MUG MUG MUG YAY. Now, if mugging was actually enjoyable our lives would be muchhh better. Since they pretty much revolve around studying oneself to death anyway. AND YAAAAAY finally I can move on to Intermediate level for Japanese FINALLY yay. (: And new textbook! For free! Jap is awesome. AWESOME. It's like the only class I totally do not find taxing. Oh well. And oh man had HELLO today. Read some of the HELLO and felt really disappointed in how HELLO perceive HELLO. Sometimes HELLO really do try to put in effort but it just isn't HELLO to HELLO. And HELLO really have no idea how to act in front of HELLO. If HELLO're BLAH, HELLO'll just immediately be considered HELLO, but if HELLO're too HELLO, then HELLO won't be given any HELLO. Sigh I don't know what else to say. It's just... are we really that detestable? It's so hard being what we are, with the fear of making mistakes just besetting us all the time, and we have to be firm and strict yet not too unreasonable, yet some of them want us to be kind and nice and it's really easier said than done. It's not easy being us, but I guess that can only be truly understood once you're our shoes. But I do admit, we do err at times, and I too, sometimes feel like the responsibility thrust upon my shoulders is way more than I can handle. I don't like to chastise, and I much prefer talking amiably, but is that effective? Just mere lecturing? Or is ruling by fear more effectual? I was once you, and I understand everything you point out. Standing under the sun and thinking what you had done to deserve this, running from point to point and wondering why you have to do this, standing rooted to the ground unmoving while a barrage of upsetting words assail you; I've been through all of that, and I understand. Some say their passion is dying out, and I really don't know what to do about that. Please tell us what to do, because I really don't know, and I can only feel awful about ourselves. Was it our fault that your passion is extinguishing? But what can we do? I would really want to change things, but sometimes, things are not that simple. I'm not such of a senior-material, and that's why I'm even writing this entry, and as I'm typing this, I worry if I would be killed for this, if I'm divulging too much, if anyone would actually take me seriously. I just hope you guys will hang in there. Treasure the time you have here, because nothing is forever. Soon you'll be rid of us, and I'm quite certain most would be exhilarated at the notion of freedom, but god knows how much we preferred being you, where we used to have room for mistakes and a much lighter burden. I'm not sure how many of you would raise your eyebrows skeptically at this, but that's exactly how it is to me, at least. And enduring hardships together was an indelible experience; a lifetime one, I'm hoping, because though nothing scared me as much as guides, nothing else gave me as much as guides did. Bah, feel like I'm screwing up everything in life now. Don't have anything happy to think about. Whenever I close my eyes I just think of all the made-of-fail things I did and just feel like dying. Firstly if there's something I really hate about myself, is that I really give myself too much pressure. Like everyone else in my class. Everything has to be the best best best, we have to get the best grades because that is expected of us. That's our duty. To get good grades. Getting excellent results isn't something to be ecstatic about, because it's something we ought to do, and I think life is really screwed up on that part. And when I mess up stuff I just keep thinking and thinking about it just to spite myself and make me feel like defenestrating myself is the best option yet. I have low self-esteem and I'm not afraid to admit this, so I'm really sensitive to what other people actually say to me. Even the least hurtful words hurt me, because I'm stupid like that. Plus, I cry easily. And that's like the understatement of the century, because I cry really easily. That's because I keep looking on the most horrible of sides to things people say and then make myself feel really inane. I hate crying, because it makes people think that I'm really emotionally weak, and they have to like be careful of what they say around me, and that I just can't take jokes or is a crybaby and cry to get attention or make the other party feel bad or whatever horrible things (and look I'm doing it again), and I don't want that. I don't need people to watch what they say, because I don't want people to feel awkward around me and stuff. Usually if I am angry I don't usually show it, (but it's probably noticeable), and to me, crying is just water in your eyes, and it's something that happens so often to me, I don't find it a big deal. But in other cases when someone who usually don't cry cries, then that's a different matter. Still crying is something you can't control, because when I start tearing up I just go like, "Wow thanks not again" and feel stupid for wasting tears and time and pride over trivial things. But it's really no big deal, cos different people de-stress in different ways, and some people punch their pillows, some eat like crazy and others confide in friends, and for me, I just think crying is a(n involuntary) way to de-stress. And that's all it is. And crying cleanses your eyes. :D Anyway. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say this, but I think aside from mugging for us Singaporean kids, we're not sure how else to get good results. And that's all that matters to us. Grades. On papers. Multi-intelligence is not given enough credit in this society. Wow, just because she scores in Geography she's amazingly brilliant? Just because you're in genius in maths means you're beyond intelligence? People have other talents that isn't deemed to be intelligence. You may get really good grades and she doesn't, but she's a piano prodigy, and you just mug all day. Someone may excel in every single aspect in school, but know nothing about sports or music, and someone else may seem really stupid academically, but sings wonderfully and paints utterly realistic portraits, or does really well in basketball. But none of them matters, because we're bound by mere numbers on paper. Somehow the terms "smart" and "stupid" have no definite measurements. What do you mean by clever? What do you mean by stupid? People excel in different areas, but apparently some areas don't really matter. Some people are overestimated, and others are underestimated, and judging someone is never fair. All I can say is, think again before you call someone stupid. Because if you judge people that easily, then you're not as clever as you'd like to think.

Some people won't be by your side forever, so you're either going to have to appreciate and treasure these moments, or just be totally apathetic and the next moment you realise they're gone. That's what I meant by, treasure your friends. You said you did, but I don't see how. Where's your effort? Are you really going to try and get them back after they're gone? Why do you treasure things only when you lose them? I keep telling you treasure them treasure them treasure them, and I'm not just saying those things for fun. I'm most honest on the computer, and you should know that well. In a friendship, there's give and take. This seems to be one-sided, and I laugh, because it's funny, funny how someone like me would have to say this, funny how I screwed up my chinese oral exam, funny like how I submitted a piece of rubbish for competition, funny like all other ironic things. I don't want to say this but it's a tad too late now. It's not a matter of whether you realise or not, because I don't want to think about it. Allow me to be selfish just this once, and I'm just going to go on not having to care, because it is less painful that way. I'm tired of saying I'm tired, I'm tired of telling you so, and I'm tired of having to hope.

H1N1 Update: (as of yesterday's) 701. Uhhhhuhhhh. Okay at least the increase wasn't too much the day before, at 30, but then yesterday it increased by 72, so..... .___. ARGHHHHHHHHH oh man SO MANY things to do, so little time. Apparently the school thinks that since we have holidays = we just laze around at home with nothing to do = the more elearning hmwk, the better! Apparently not. People have tuition and classes and piano and stuff. And CCA and concerts and dental appointments and even LEISURE. PEOPLE need to relax. Holidays is for resting, NOT for a whole pile of homework sitting at the corner of the room waiting to be done. Srsly I feel like DYING and that's like the understatement of the century.
